A video demonstration of this horn can be seen here.
For sale is a Meister Hans Hoyer (GDR Era) Double Horn. This horn is a fantastic playing professional horn. It is unlacquered, has a hand hammered screw bell, great valves, and plays very easily with a beautiful, clear, sweet sound. I love how this horn plays!
This horn does have a few minor cosmetic blemishes to know about. The bell flare is a little tight to screw on (though it easily lines up and does go on and off smoothly). Also, the bell has a few minor spots on it where you can see some wrinkles have been carefully removed. Other than that and a few minor dings throughout, though, this horn is in great shape!
The valves all have good compression. This horn has been professionally cleaned and serviced here in my shop, and is ready to play!
Included is a brand new ProTec ProPac screw bell horn case. No mouthpiece is included.
Do note that this horn really plays much better with Euro shank mouthpieces. While it plays pretty well with American shank mouthpieces, it definitely has better focus with Euro shank mouthpieces. Thankfully these are quite easy to come by. In the video I used a Josef Klier mouthpiece which I really liked. It also works great with Laskey G-cup (EU) and other standard Euro shank mouthpieces.
