This beautiful 10DR is a wonderful playing horn. This particular instrument is quite easy to play and is very smooth between notes. It has a beautiful sound and projects quite nicely.

The rose brass bell can probably be attributed to the beautiful sound. Rose brass is a higher copper content brass that is slightly more dense than yellow brass, giving it a warmer, smoother sound. This is especially good for 10Ds, because the bell throat is small which naturally lends itself toward a much brassier sound. The rose brass bell curbs that beautifully, and the end result is a horn that is easy to play, can play in all dynamic registers easily, and has a smooth, beautiful sound that carries through a hall.

This horn is used, so there are some minor cosmetic imperfections. There are a few minor dents and dings, but nothing bad that is affecting how the horn plays at all. There are also several spots of lacquer wear where the hands usually come in contact with the horn, but these are hardly noticeable from even a short distance.

The serial number is (prefix 5) 731869.

Included is a nice, used ProTec gig bag. No mouthpiece is included, but I can include a standard mouthpiece (Schilke or similar) if requested upon order.
