This is a great Conn 12D Descant horn. It has been professionally cleaned, serviced, and upgraded with two new water keys and stripped lacquer. It plays and sounds great! The high register, as expected, is quite good, and the tone is very even across the registers.
This is a great buy. These descants are used professionally (and according to Houghton Horns, one of these was used in the recordings of "Titanic"). They are also much cheaper, but play great alongside other descants such as the Paxman 40M. For a short time I had a Paxman 40 in the shop, and this horn certainly stood up well to it!
There is no damage on this horn. It is practically new. The valves have excellent compression.
This horn comes with the original hard case in excellent condition. No mouthpiece is included, but if you want to buy a descant mouthpiece with this horn, I suggest one of the Yamaha 30C4 mouthpieces I have listed. They go well with these horns in my experience, and it is the mouthpiece I use when playing descant.
